Privacy Policy
Overview
Seekhana Songs helps children and families create educational songs. This policy describes what information the app processes when you use it.
The app is intended for use by parents, guardians, and educators with children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental involvement.
Information we process
Account: Seekhana Songs requires sign-in through Firebase Authentication (email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple). Depending on how you create your account, we may collect your email address and a display name or first and last name. We also use a device identifier to help sync your library with our servers.
Library and audio: your lyric library and boombox metadata sync to our servers when the app can reach the API. Make Song audio may be uploaded and stored in cloud storage (Google Cloud Storage) so you can restore and play it on other devices signed in to the same account. Mixtape playlists are stored on your device only.
On our servers: your account identifiers (including Firebase user ID and device account ID), profile fields you provide (such as email and name), saved song library (lyrics and metadata), credit balance, subscription and purchase entitlement records used for validation, and Make Song audio stored for library sync.
AI processing: when you create or translate lyrics, or generate audio (Make Song), the text you submit (topics, lyrics, performance notes, genre, and related choices) is sent to our API and forwarded to AI providers only to fulfill that request. Technical logs: our servers may temporarily log request metadata (and sometimes request content) for reliability and abuse prevention.
Switching phones or devices
Your library, credits, and Make Song audio sync to our servers with your Seekhana account. Sign in with the same account on a new phone to restore them (subject to network availability and retention).
Creating a new account starts a separate library and credit balance (subject to our abuse-prevention limits).
How we use information
To authenticate your account and generate educational lyrics and audio for your requests.
To enforce the Seekhana Songs content policy (age-appropriate, no banned topics).
To sync your saved library and Make Song audio, manage credits and subscriptions, validate in-app purchases, and delete your server-side account when you tap Delete Account.
Third-party services
Lyrics may be generated using Anthropic Claude. Audio may be generated using Google Cloud Vertex AI (Lyria). These providers process the text you submit only to fulfill your request.
Our backend and Make Song audio storage run on Google Cloud (including Google Cloud Storage). Account sign-in uses Google Firebase Authentication.
Store builds may use Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error diagnostics, and Zoho Apptics for in-app screen and usage analytics. We do not sell your data or use it for behavioral advertising, and we do not use Google Firebase Analytics for product analytics. We do not use this data for cross-app tracking.
Purchases
Make Song uses credits. You may receive starter credits with your account, and you can buy additional credits or subscription plans through in-app purchases.
Purchases use Apple App Store or Google Play billing. We receive purchase confirmation and related transaction information from the platform to validate entitlements and grant credits — not your payment card details.
Storage and retention
Your saved lyrics, boombox metadata, and cloud-stored Make Song audio remain linked to your account until you delete them or delete your account. A local copy of audio may also remain on your device while the app is installed.
On our servers we retain your saved library, credit balance, purchase and subscription entitlement records as needed for validation and account management, cloud-stored audio, and related account records until you delete your account.
When you delete your account in Settings, we remove your server-side account data (including your saved library, credits, and cloud-stored Make Song audio) and clear cached lyrics, boombox tracks, and audio on the device. Firebase Authentication account deletion is also requested as part of that process.
App Store and Google Play privacy labels
Our store privacy disclosures describe: contact information (such as email and name when provided), identifiers, user-generated lyrics and song metadata, audio files stored for library sync, purchase history used for entitlement validation, diagnostics (Crashlytics), product interaction analytics (Apptics), and AI processing as described above.
We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or advertising.
Your choices
You can delete lyrics and tracks individually or delete your entire account in Settings.
